Indian Pesh-kabz, mid XVIIIth century.

Great Pesh-Kabz, Moghul India, circa mid of XVIIIth Century.

Big dark green jade grip (nephrite), with holeworked ring on top.

Heavy fine damascus blade (34 cm), with flat back, engraved on rear with sanskrit script.

Fish skin on scabbard (the fish part was probably made later).

Despite it’s restored scabbard, with such size and close to mint conditions, this dagger is an exceptionnal sample of Moghul pieces.
